This is actually really untrue!!!!! This topic isn’t even arguable. On a vegan diet i am saving around 1,100 gallons of water each day compared to the average meat eating diet!!!
You would think that vegans take up more money because the plants we eat need to be watered but in reality when someone is eating an animal the animal needs plants to eat and a cow can eat A LOT more than i can on a daily basis and also drink a lot more! So on a diet where someone is eating animals, water is being used to grow what the animals are eating and drinking, as well as all of the water used in the process of turning a living creature into a dead piece of meat for people to eat!
And as for wood/forests/land use!!
If you still don’t believe me you should go on netflix and watch the documentary Cowspiracy!
1. You drastically cut your carbon emissions.
Animal agriculture is one of the leading causes of climate change. By leaving animals off your plate, you instantly cut your carbon emissions in half!
2. You save water. A lot of it.
It takes 2,500 gallons of water to produce just one pound of beef. That’s enough water for more than a year’s worth of showers. Plant-based foods are much less water intensive.
3. You eliminate harmful cholesterol from your diet.
It’s true! Cholesterol is only found in animal-based foods. A vegan diet contains zero cholesterol.
4. You reduce your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.
Studies show that people who eat a plant-based diet not only have lower rates of certain diseases, but also live longer.
5. You save the lives of more than 30 animals each year.
Over your lifetime you will truly save the lives of thousands of animals. Doesn’t that feel great?!
6. You stop supporting animal abuse.
Animals on factory farms live miserable lives. They are confined in small, filthy spaces, mutilated without painkillers, and ruthlessly slaughtered. Don’t like it, don’t buy it.

1. Dairy Cows Must Give Birth to Produce Milk
Though it may seem obvious, many people have no idea that in order to produce milk, cows have to be pregnant or have just given birth. Like all other mammals, cows lactate for their babies.
2. Dairy Destroys Our Rivers, Lakes, and Streams
The U.S. dairy industry has a record of egregious water pollution. In fact, animal excrement and other agricultural runoff from large-scale farms have polluted nearly one-third of rivers in the U.S.
3. Dairy Cows Are Impregnated Over and Over
On many farms this is accomplished through artificial insemination, a highly invasive and stressful procedure that is repeated approximately every 12 months. Cows used for dairy are kept in a constant cycle of pregnancy, birth, and lactation.
4. Male Calves Are Often Killed for Veal
Because male calves don’t produce milk, they’re of no use to dairy farms and are often sold for veal production. Veal is a direct by-product of the dairy industry.
5. Dairy Is Linked to Cancer
Cow’s milk increases the risk of prostate cancer by 60 percent for every two glasses consumed each day, and women who switch from dairy to soy products reduce their risk of breast cancer by a shocking 43 percent.
6. Baby Calves Are Stolen From Their Mothers
Newborn calves are typically taken away from their mothers within hours of birth. After forcible separation from their calves, cows often bellow for hours or even days, pacing and searching for them.
7. Dairy Production Is Unsustainable
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, carbon dioxide emissions from raising farmed animals make up about 15 percent of global human-induced emissions, with beef and milk production as the leading culprit.
8. Dairy Cows Endure Painful Infections
Subjected to intensive genetic manipulation, cows produce abnormally large quantities of milk. This unnatural production, combined with the physical damage inflicted by the milking equipment, contributes to mastitis, a painful udder infection.
9. Dairy Cows Are Killed After Only Four Years
While their natural lifespan is 25 years, cows raised on dairy factory farms become so physically exhausted that they’re often slaughtered at only four or five years of age.
10. Dairy Is Sucking Us Dry
Dairy production is incredibly water-intensive. According to Mother Jones, it takes 30 gallons of water to make one glass of milk, 50 gallons of water to make two slices of cheese, and a whopping 109 gallons of water to make one stick of butter.
11. Many Dairy Cows End Up Hamburger Meat
Weak, lame, sick, and injured, “spent” dairy cows are often brutally electrically prodded, beaten, and even dragged before being slaughtered and processed into ground beef.
12. Milk Consumption Is Falling
Since 1970, cow’s milk consumption has fallen a whopping 40 percent in the U.S. while sales of nondairy milk alternatives have soared by 30 percent since 2011.

Luckily, consumers are able to withdraw their financial support from farmers who routinely abuse animals by adopting a healthy and humane vegan diet.

All of this is making love. I’m sorry society has failed you and you think the only way to make love is shoving your dick inside of her.
The actual smell of rain comes from plants. When plants are in drought they produce oils in replacement for waters. When the time comes and it finally starts raining the plants get their needed water and they release these oils in the air and the smell of that oil is what we call smell of rain
the scent is called petrichor
This is my absolute favorite smell
I’ve watched girls nibble away at half an apple, diced into little chunks to make it last longer. That’s all she’ll eat today. I’ve watched girls drink five litres of water because ‘sometimes you’re not actually hungry, it’s just thirst’. I’ve watched girls drink tea like it’s liquid gold, to pinch their stomachs and feel sick at the sight of the rolls. I’ve watched girls exercise until they faint, until their hearts threaten to beat straight out of their chest because it’s the only way they feel loved.
I’ve watched girls do mental calculations of how much they’ve eaten, 110 calories from a large apple, only 55 from half. I’ve watched girls cry in front of the mirror because they’ll never be size 6, never mind size 4, or 2, or 0. I’ve watched girls hide in bulky clothing when all they’ve ever wanted is to wear dresses that don’t cover everything up. I’ve watched them flinch when people say, “I like girls who have big appetites.” I’ve watched them smile when people say, “you’ve lost weight, haven’t you?”
I’ve watched girls who hate themselves so much they refuse to accept affection. I’ve heard their silence when people comment on how little they are eating - they think: ‘at least now I don’t have a reason to look this way’. I’ve watched girls measure their worth by the gap between their thighs, gripping skin and bone, convinced it’s fat that can be burned. I’ve watched girls, living skeletons, who laugh and smile just like everyone else, who needed someone to lend them a little strength when they couldn’t find their own, for someone to reach out and say: ‘can’t you see you don’t need to do this to be beautiful? You don’t need to do this to be loved.
I didn’t want my picture taken because I was going to cry. I didn’t know why I was going to cry, but I knew that if anybody spoke to me or looked at me too closely the tears would fly out of my eyes and the sobs would fly out of my throat and I’d cry for a week. I could feel the tears brimming and sloshing in me like water in a glass that is unsteady and too full.
Don’t settle. Don’t finish crappy books. If you don’t like the menu, leave the restaurant. If you’re not on the right path, get off it.
